刚刚看完今天Alexandr Wang的精彩发言！内容其实没有太多新意，but I love his remark! People get bogged down by the murky sky these days. And they say do not look up. Yes or no. If you look down, the land of opportunities is right beneath.

01/31/2026 第一次宏观经济小记

以往几乎不评价宏观经济，因本人对宏观经济的了解不超过两张纸。甚至连Econ 101的经典入门教材 Principles of (Macro)economics 都没有读过几页。但现在愈发理解ignorance is even better than dumbness。所以今天开个头，记录一下自己的起点 ------ how an ignorant person understands macroeconomics。

起因是这几天看了new Fed chair Warsh半年前的采访

1. 降息缩表。2021年的大放水就是钱没有流向该去的地方，无论宏观微观，都无处不是证明。所以，降息缩表这样的“定向”放水（即便这样极其不专业严谨地比喻），显然是最正确的。哪怕对Fed的了解只有rate和sheet两个概念都不难推导出，rate不能加，sheet已经很长了，就算不缩，也不应该大幅扩。至于rate为什么不能加，参考下面。

2. 通胀和降息。Warsh旗帜鲜明地抨击通胀就是Fed的责任，不是war，不是pandemic，更不是supply chain，有且只有Fed。尤其是对supply chain disturbance 的评价极其精准------"it changed the level of prices because that's what happens in a market economy. But it's not what inflation is"。明确地将商品供需关系和货币供应区分开来。
